2010–2025 | A concise overview for journalists and researchers
2010 – Medical Incident and Death
24 August 2010: The patient undergoes PCI at a regional hospital.
27 August 2010: He becomes critically ill. The doctor hides the true cause (cardiac tamponade) and tries to steer the family toward “end-of-life care.”
The family objects: “If the PCI was successful, this clinical course is impossible. Please treat him properly.”
That night, a life-saving pericardiocentesis is performed without informing the family; it is explained only afterwards.
12 September 2010: The patient dies in hospital. The family requested a judicial autopsy.
2010–2012 – False Autopsy, Forged Documents, Early Legal Attempts
Police deliver a so-called “judicial autopsy report” whose contents contradict medical evidence.
A death certificate is issued by the hospital and the cause of death is disguised as a natural disease.
A “death notification” and a receipt for “judicial autopsy fees” are later found to be falsified.
Through about two years of independent checking, the family concludes that the autopsy was likely never performed.
From October 2010 to January 2012, the family consults four different lawyers; all attempts fail to bring the case closer to resolution.
2011–2016 – Domestic Media Outreach Without Response
From May 2011, the family contacts Japanese media outlets by email, phone, and postal mail.
Requests for investigation continue until March 2016.
No meaningful response or coverage is obtained.
2018–2019 – Anonymous Attempts to Contact Media
2018: Using Tails, Tor and an anonymous email (Tutanota), the family twice contacts Japanese media (including Asahi Shimbun, Shūkan Kinyōbi, and Waseda Chronicle). No response.
2019: Using public Wi-Fi, Tails, Tor and SecureDrop, the family twice submits materials to overseas media (The Guardian, The New York Times, The Intercept, etc.). Again, no response.
2020–2022 – Temporary Pause, Then New Harassment
2020: Activities are temporarily suspended.
2021: The family decides to step back from whistleblowing and focus on marriage and daily life.
2022: Harassment linked to marriage activities is discovered, suggesting that pressure and interference have continued even after the pause.
2022–2024 – Online Whistleblowing and Suppression
A detailed Japanese whistleblowing website about the case is created and published.
From 2023, the case is also shared on X (Twitter), note, and YouTube.
Despite the seriousness of the allegations, page views and video plays remain extremely low, leading to the impression of systematic suppression.
2025 – New Phase: Technical Countermeasures and International Strategy
From May 2025, the family begins systematic consultation with AI (ChatGPT) to design robust technical and international strategies.
The goal shifts toward secure overseas hosting, IPFS distribution, .onion mirrors, and direct outreach to international NGOs and investigative journalists.
